BGC Glass Studio

Launched in April, 2017, “BGC Glass Studio” is Thailand’s first learning Centre for glass art. The studio aims to be a creative Centre for glass art learning and a dynamic space for contemporary glass art. They will present courses in glass design and glass forming techniques for and with both local and international artists. BGC Glass Studio has organized exhibitions and educational programs / workshops with students, the art community and the public.

History

Incorporated in 1974, Bangkok Glass was granted promotional privileges by the Office of the Board of Investment (BOI) and was registered with a capital of 50 million (THB or $1.6 million USD). The first glass-bottling plant was completed in Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province and produced as much as 150 tons per day. Since Boon Rawd Brewery Co. Ltd. became the major shareholder of the company in 1981, Bangkok Glass has expanded production capacity continuously to become the biggest glass company in Thailand and ASEAN.

With more than 4 decades of success, BG has been recognized as a leader in manufacturing quality glass while remaining environmentally sensitive. Moreover, we also produce a variety of packaging products such as crate containers, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, plastic closures, boxes and caps, corrugated boxes as well as crown and twist-off caps, in order to serve both domestic and international customers.
